SimpleWeather 3.0 Now Available.

Leetcom has now updated their popular SimpleWeather app to version 3.0. This app has gone a long way since only displaying the current weather as an icon on your homescreen. The current version of the app features an all new UI and some great new features. The app now quickly updates and displays more accurate forecasts and readings (wind, humidity, visibility, etc) to the user.
On the homescreen, the users has many options of displaying the weather. Carrying over from the original SimpleWeather is the homescreen icon with the current weather status. For the icon, the user has the ability to display the current weather and or temperature on the icon. Also in the name spot, the app can display any combination of the High/Low, Current Temperature and Current Conditions.
New in 3.0 is the ability to show the current weather (conditions, temperature, hi/low) as your homescreen wallpaper. The app will use the custom wallpaper that you set from the apps options screen as the background for your homescreen. The icon on the homescreen can be moved to just about anywhere. You can place the icon either to the left, right or center of the screen and move it up or down the screen by adjusting the pixel spacing.
Now for the actual forecast screen. By selecting the homescreen icon, it will open to the updated forecast screen. On the top of this screen, the user will see the reported location, current temperature (fahrenheit or celcius as chosen in the options), conditions, humidity, windspeed and visibility. In the middle of the screen is a 3-day forecast showing future conditions and the high/low temperatures. At the bottom of the screen are buttons to update the current weather, display up to the minute weather alerts and options. From the options screen, the user can choose to have the weather updated every 15, 30, 45 or 60 minutes. By swiping either left or right on the forecast screen will switch between the other two locations if the user has more than one set.
SimpleWeather 3.0 is currently available in the app store for $2.99 and works on the BlackBerry Bold 9000 and 9700, Curve, Pearl, Pearl Flip, Storm, Storm2 and Tour.
